ADMIT at SPIE Medical Imaging 2026 in Vancouver
From February 15–19, the ADMIT subproject I was represented at the SPIE Medical Imaging in Vancouver by our doctoral researchers Michèle-Louise Regner and Lilian Abou Assali together with their Principal Investigator Prof. Dr. Martin Fiebich. During the conference, the team presented the poster “Assessment of Virtual Monochromatic Imaging and Material Decomposition in Spectral CT via Monte-Carlo Simulations Based on a Multi-Energy Phantom”. The contribution reflects ongoing research on spectral CT and Monte-Carlo-based simulation approaches.
The week in Vancouver was marked by inspiring presentations, dynamic poster sessions and many in-depth discussions with international experts in medical imaging physics. The direct feedback from the community not only sparked new ideas but also helped sharpen the next research steps within the project. Beyond the scientific programme, the conference offered valuable opportunities to strengthen existing connections and initiate new ones. The inspiring atmosphere and open exchange made the meeting a great experience for the entire team. The team is looking forward to building on the discussions started in Vancouver and translating the newly gained ideas into the next phases of the project.
